NATE UNDERKUFFLER
Music Editor

Home Town: Farmington, ME
First Concert: REM
Bio

Nate Underkuffler has been pursuing a career in music for film ever since Danny Elfman’s triumphantly macabre march in Batman’s main title sequence captured his 8-year-old imagination. After collecting and studying hundreds of film scores and graduating from Berklee College of Music with a degree in film scoring, he moved to Los Angeles in 2011. He has since been pinching himself regularly at the opportunities he has had to help guide composers, directors and music supervisors to create the music he loves. Nate brings a wide range of skills and experiences to his projects that often go above and beyond those of a traditional music editor. He loves to be involved from the ground floor of the music creation process, he is comfortable cutting audio and MIDI in the composers’ Cubase or Digital Performer sequences in addition to Pro Tools, and he helps manage and organize the composer’s workflow at every stage of the project.
