Kenneth Karman has been editing music for feature films since the early Neolithic Age of Moviolas and celluloid (about 35 years), and has continued non-stop through the advent of today’s digital technology. While Ken is grateful that he learned his craft using splicers, reels, and razor blades, he is truly in his element wielding a mouse and a cursor, and loves the massive expansion in creativity that they allow.Ken has worked with some of the industry's top composers, including Alan Silvestri, Danny Elfman, Thomas Newman, John Williams, Gabriel Yared, and most recently Alexandre Desplat. His credits include Back To The Future, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Good Will Hunting, Unbroken -- and the list goes on (and on).Although initially drawn to postproduction with an eye toward film editing, chance encounters with mentors Dan Carlin Sr. and Jim Henrikson set Ken on a trajectory from which he has never looked back and has never regretted. He truly loves his job. In 1991, Ken and Bill Abbott started Modern Music, the most successful Music Editorial company of its day, boasting a roster of the industry's most talented editors. In 2013 Bill and Ken disbanded Modern and joined Formosa Group under the banner Formosa Music. Their staff, their roster, and their commitment to their clients remain unchanged.
