Bio

“I’m passionate about collaborating with filmmakers in bringing their ideas to fruition. I enjoy exploring creative solutions to complex problems and offering input that contributes to their sonic vision.” Larry Benjamin has always had a penchant for sound, beginning as a musician during his childhood and teenage years. He attended Emerson College in Boston, where he learned the valuable skill of networking and the soft skills to listen and offer guidance to filmmakers, allowing him to translate their vision of sound into layperson’s terms. He studied Mass Communications, creating videos as well as producing pieces for an imaginative radio theatre group at the campus radio stations. Following college, Benjamin moved to LA where he worked his way up to Re-Recording Mixer, after starting out as a recordist and Sweetening Mixer. He has been nominated for 5 Emmy Awards, four for Better Call Saul and one for Ozark.
