All good things take time. But music has guided Bill down the long, winding path to music editing. Bill started playing the trumpet when he was 10. He stopped when he was 14. Not because playing bass guitar in a band was cooler, but because playing bass guitar in a band was much cooler. His appreciation for all types of music skyrocketed during his years working as a DJ at his college radio station, KUNM. The eclectic format forbid DJ’s from playing anything that might be heard on a commercial station. Bill spent years happily mining through albums and CDs looking for all those hidden gems. Bill’s college radio days led him to a job at NPR in Washington D.C. where he worked as a producer for All Things Considered. After years of fulfillment and enjoyment, Oliver Stone called and asked Bill to work as a consultant on his film, Talk Radio. This led Bill to Los Angeles and the world of film post-production.During the past 25 years Bill has worked on over 75 films as a Music Editor. He’s had the good fortune of working with numerous gifted composers, including several repeat collaborations with Rachel Portman, Ennio Morricone, Marco Beltrami and Danny Elfman.
