Bio

"Acadamy Award, Grammy Award, Golden Reel Award and Emmy Award winning music editor Alex Gibson hails from the Los Angeles suburb of Torrance". He started his music career back in 1978 in a punk band called “Little Cripples” along with band co- founder Michael Gira. Gibson subsequently formed the bands BPeople and Passionel. Along the way, he received his first motion picture credit as composer for Penelope Spheeris’ 1983 film Suburbia. Starting with 1992’s Unlawful Entry, Gibson added Music Editor to an already impressive resume that briefly included working as an assistant picture editor. For the past two decades, Gibson’s musical expertise has been utilized by such esteemed film directors as Barry Sonnenfeld, Tom Hanks, Joel Zwick, Christopher Nolan, Gavin Hood and Michael Bay.
