Peter Snell Music Editor
Peter Snell's calling to music editorial grew from an unlikely talent: understanding the relationship between musical notes and digital language. While in college studying classic guitar, Peter developed a knack for computers. His PC mastery soon caught the attention of famed composer Hans Zimmer, which led to Peter becoming Hans' technical score assistant. Zimmer’s mentoring provided invaluable experience and guidance:

"My apprenticeship under Hans Zimmer instilled in me two valuable life lessons. One was appreciating the value of learning a profession from the ground up, and second, that mentoring has the unique property of paying back and forward at the same time."

Post apprenticeship, Peter continued progressing professionally, eventually moving into the position of Technical Audio Engineer at Remote Control Productions in 2006. That same year, starting with Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Peter started transitioning into the more creative side of music production. Whether "Technical Score Engineer," "Technical Music Coordinator," or "Assistant Music Editor," Peter’s feature resume exploded across multiple genres, from blockbusters (The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), to epic dramas (Frost/Nixon, Angels & Demons), and animation (Bee Movie, Kung Fu Panda, Monsters vs. Aliens). In 2009, Peter finally took the reins of Music Editor.

Now a Golden Reel award winner and three-time nominee, Peter continues to credit his success to the reputation he earned working his way up through the ranks, from apprentice to one of the busiest music editors in the industry. His growing list of credits includes The Accountant, Clash of the Titans, Inception, The Lone Ranger, Megamind, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Point Break, Rango, and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.
