David E. Fluhr Re-Recording Mixer
About
"Telling a story through sound has always been my dream. Having been a composer and a musician from a very early age has allowed me to achieve this goal. I am so grateful to be living it. I love the collaboration of filmmaking and the thrill of helping a director reach an audience through film. I believe it is an important responsibility to 'give back' to the sound community by participating in our sound guilds, and also by helping young people to reach their goals in the craft of sound."

David began his career at Manhattan School of Music and Crane School of Music in New York, pursuing a major in electronic music composition and recording. He moved to Los Angeles where he began learning the craft of sound for picture by mixing dialog and music full time as a Re-Recording mixer. David has since worked at a number of world class studios across the globe. In January 2004, David was invited to join the Walt Disney Studio's sound department, and Disney Animation Studios.
Throughout his career, David has been recognized with nine Emmy awards, and 38 nominations; several MPSE nominations and wins, five HPA nominations, three CAS Sound Mixing Awards and 8 Nominations- Most recently for Frozen, and Big Hero Six.

He is a former two term governor of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Sound Branch. He has been serving on the Cinema Audio Society (CAS) Board of Directors since 1986, and was elected as President of the CAS from 2012 through 2015.
