‘Beauty’ is his third collaboration with director Bill Condon.

Sound editor, designer and re-recording mixer Warren Shaw — who recently completed work on Disney’s live-action retelling of Beauty and the Beast — has joined audio postproduction company Formosa Group’s features division.

Beauty and the Beast, for which he served as supervising sound editor and designer, is Shaw’s third collaboration with director Bill Condon, after The Fifth Estate and Mr. Holmes.

During his 25-year career, Shaw has worked on films such as Sam Mendes’ Revolutionary Road, Phillip Noyce’s Salt and legendary animator Hayao Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke.

“We’re thrilled that Warren has joined Formosa Group,” said CEO Robert C. Rosenthal. “His talent, versatility, and collaborative spirit personify the values established at our company. We feel quite fortunate.”

In joining the company, Shaw has relocated from New York and will be based in Hollywood.
